Mental Health and Wellbeing
Welcome to our page on mental health and wellbeing. At Lower Park, we follow the 'My Happy Mind' Curriculum. This is a science-backed programme for schools, grounded in the latest science and research about what it takes to create positive wellbeing.
It’s taught to every single child and there’s a curriculum for every year group from Early Years to Year 6. There is also a Parent App too!
'myHappymind is taught across five modules and each introduces a new set of content and habits to help children build resilience, self-esteem and confidence'

We also support our chilldren individually via VISYON, play therapy, Emotional Healthy Schools consultations and through small group interventions and ELSA.
Parents and families are supported through half termly coffee mornings. Please see the school calender or newsletter for more details.
VISYON are a service working alongside us at Lower Park to promote positive mental health and wellbeing in our children through providing a councelling service. Click on the link to see the dates for their parent workshops this month.
If you have any concerns or would like further support or advice, please contact Mrs Abi Mellor, Senior Mental Health Lead.
